WACO, Texas (Nov. 12, 2013) – The Dwyer Group, a franchisor of seven service-based franchise brands, announced the appointment of Pamela D. Harper to the position of vice president of marketing, effective immediately.
She succeeds Chris Mellon who left The Dwyer Group to pursue other opportunities.
Harper has served as senior director of marketing at The Dwyer Group since 2012. In her new role, she will oversee a team of 49 people offering marketing and communications support across the service brands.

Jim Bernstein, the local franchise owner, says the business has outgrown the old location at 1550 Beaver Ruin Road. He said the market demands and his business model have evolved over the years.
By purchasing and wearing Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) “Share the Love” t-shirts May 17, Glass Doctor of North Texas helped pay for approximately 30 nights of free stays for families with sick or injured children staying in area hospitals.
The Ronald McDonald House program provides a home-away-from-home, so families can stay close by their hospitalized child. RMHD suggests a contribution of $15 per night to offset the costs of lodging, meals, transportation and other services.
The Dwyer Group introduces the Women in the Trades initiative, focused on providing financial assistance to women entering the service trade industry. This includes home service fields, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, home restoration, glass installation, and landscaping.
Glass Doctor has purchased repair items, including tarps plywood, roofing materials, and two-by-fours to aid in recovery efforts.
The supplies will be available to any resident of West, TX in need of home repairs. Glass Doctor franchisees and technicians have volunteered their services to aid residents in the boarding and reparation of their homes.
